Steak in sour cream sauce
Who doesn't love a juicy steak with a sauce to die for?
I love!
And I know many of you do too! Due to the number of emails I have received asking for this recipe.
So I decided to share in today's article how to very simply make a succulent steak with cream sauce, as is done in the best restaurants here in Portugal and also in Brazil.
The essential thing in this dish is the steak, you should choose a meat that is very tender, here in Portugal we use a lot of sirloin or fillet meat and in Brazil it is very common to use soft thigh meat or filet mignon.
Without further ado, let's get started!

STEAK WITH MILK CREAM SAUCE
Ingredients
- 06 rump steaks or soft drumstick
- 100g unsalted butter
- Salt for seasoning steaks
- 2 crushed garlic cloves
- 100ml of beef broth (half a stock cube to dissolve in 100ml water)
- 1 teaspoon) Worcestershire sauce
- 1 packet of heavy cream
Step-by-step instructions
- Season the steaks with salt to taste, but be careful not to salt because we still have the beef stock to add.
- Then heat a frying pan and put the butter to melt. Put the steaks to fry, turning on each side.
- After the fried steaks, place on a plate and set aside.
- In the fat left in the skillet, place the Worcestershire sauce, beef broth and let it boil for the sauce to reduce by half.
- Whip the cream to create volume and consistency.
- Add the cream to the sauce and mix well, letting it cook for a few seconds until the sauce is creamy.
- Serve the steaks with the sauce on top, accompanied by white rice and salad.
