SHRIMP SKEWERS RECIPE

Ingredients

  • 10 large prawns
  • 1 teaspoon) dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon) of paprika
  • 1 teaspoon) oregano
  • cayenne pepper
  • Black pepper to taste
  • salt
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  • Clean the shrimp by removing the shell, head and legs, but leave the tail. With a toothpick, poke a hole in the back of the shrimp and remove the dark vein.
  • Place the cleaned shrimp in a bowl and season with the dry seasonings. Mix well to distribute evenly. Drizzle with a drizzle of olive oil and mix again. Cover with plastic wrap and let marinate in the fridge for 20 minutes.
  • After the 20 min. remove the shrimp from the fridge and it's time to add the salt. Heat a frying pan and place half of the smarties. Let it brown for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side so the shrimp don't get rubbery. Then repeat with the remaining shrimp.
  • Place the skewers on a plate and serve with lemon and garlic mayonnaise. Serves as a starter or accompaniment.
