  • 1 Mandolin;
  • 1 Ceramic plate
  • 1 Bowl with water and ice;
  • 2 sheets of paper towel;
  • Vegetal paper;
  • 1 microwave

Ingredients

  • 2 Well-washed medium-sized sweet potatoes;
  • Salt to taste;
  • Saffron and dried thyme to taste;

Instructions

  • Wash the sweet potatoes under running water.
  • Cut the potatoes into rounds in the mandolin. They will become thin and round like chips.
  • Place the slices in a bowl with water and ice.
  • Add salt to taste and mix well.
  • Leave to soak for 20 minutes.
  • Place the slices on a paper towel to dry well.
  • Cover with the second sheet of paper towel and press to dry the potato slices better.
  • Remove the paper towel and place the potato slices on a ceramic plate.
  • Season with saffron and dried thyme to taste.
  • Mix the potato slices well.
  • Cover the microwave plate with parchment paper and place the potato slices.
  • Put the dish in the microwave at maximum power (800w) for 2 minutes.
  • Remove from the microwave and turn the potato slices over.
  • Place back in the microwave for another 2 minutes at maximum power (800w)
  • You can take out and taste the sweet potato chips!
