  • 500 g of potato;
  • 1 large carrot;
  • 1 medium or small onion;
  • 3 cloves of garlic;
  • 500 ml of water;
  • 3 tbsp of oil;
  • 1 bay leaf;
  • Salt to taste;
  • Pepper and chopped coriander to taste.


  • In a pan with oil, saute the onion, garlic, and cilantro (these ingredients need to be chopped);
  • Then cut the potatoes and carrots into cubes and add them to the pot;
  • Add the water and let it cook over medium heat;
  • Add the pepper, salt and bay leaf;
  • Wait for the vegetables to cook until they are soft. This process can take 30 to 40 minutes;
  • Now put half of the mixture into a blender and blend until it becomes a cream;
  • Mix this cream with the rest of the soup in the pot and let it cook for a few more minutes;
  • If you prefer, remove the bay leaf before serving.
